I'm so lucky to have met Ashleigh of Ashleigh Wells Photography! She is local, she is talented at what she does and when I was in a slump, she gave me inspiration :)
I asked her to work with me at a wedding and bring along her lights to set up our first photobooth and what happened that evening was... FUN! It was not work. Well, kind of. But it was something that the guests really enjoyed and we are calling it 'quite successful FUN'!
As photog friends and partner, Ashleigh and I will be offering the PHOTOBOOTH as an option in my wedding package! I don't have all the details worked out yet but (use voice of a 3 year old here) "they're coming real soon!"
So, let all your bride-ly friends know about this feature in addition to my awesome wedding photography! (insert giddy giggles here)
Oh and also, take a close look at my new logo I've been working on..... still working up my brand so I'll keep you all posted as to what the final product looks like (another giddy giggle here!)
Wow did we every get lucky with the weather! This beautiful young couple's wedding day started out with a couple of rain showers and then the skies held in the rain while we started shooting :) Erin and Cody are such a fun couple, their wedding was full of fun stuff to do: Mad Libs, Magnetic Poetry and an awesome Photobooth set up by fellow photog Ashleigh Wells. You can see some of the booth pics at her site!
A month before the wedding we went location scouting and found these places within walking distance and they turned out to be the perfect locations for their style.
Thank you so much for having me as your wedding photographer! All the best to the new Mr. & Mrs. Cody Spahr!
Enjoy these sneak peeks for now!

Vivian and Jack, who currently live in England, came to Vancouver to have their wedding at Cecil Green. Vivian and I went to junior high together and through our friend Kari, we kept in touch through the last 15 years. When Vivian told Kari that she was getting married back in Vancouver, Kari showed Vivian my website and set up a meeting for us and the rest was history :) (Thank you Kari!)
I'm so lucky to be at the wedding as a photographer and as a friend. It was a gorgeous sunny day after 2 weeks of wind and rainstorms (how much luckier can they get?). The Pronovias dress and the Jimmy Choo heels arrived safely from England :) The ceremony and speeches were oh-so-beautiful and moving. Congratulations Vivian and Jack! I'm still teary eyed when I edit the photos! Just take a look here to see why.
Sneak peek! I'm so excited about this post. We waited a long time for some nice weather to do this, and here it is. Do you remember Erin? She was the model I shot almost two years ago. When she called me up to tell me she wanted me to do her wedding, I felt so honored! Who knows how many photographers she had worked with and she chose me! What a compliment!
Anyway, enough about me! Erin and Cody are going to be married in April and we thought we should get going on this engagement shoot before getting hitched! It was oh-so-fun and oh-so-colourful. Just take a look!
See you two lovebirds soon at the Metro Hall!
Hannah's first hockey game. Believe it or not, she was actually fine the rest of the game. She was quite overwhelmed the first couple minutes walking through all the hustle bustle in GM Place.
This is Sarah playing in the Vancouver Giants' intermission. Real ice, real spectators!
When Sarah isn't playing hockey, she wears these heels around the house. She had been begging me to buy her a pair of 'high heels' since Christmas. So we found these Hannah Montana ones at Payless.
Yes, I do bring all four kids out by myself. There is a lot of planning involved when doing this. Everyone has to potty first, fill our tummies and set rules and time lines for activities. Before heading out the door, Sarah asked to wear her heels. I told her we were going to the park where the jungle-gym was and she wouldn't be able to go on it in heels. She knew the rule. But when we got there, she really wanted to climb. Rule was set and she had to sit out. That was her lesson of the day :)
Do you remember Nola, the newborn I photographed 1 year and a half ago? Here is her new little brother Kayden.
Mom Denora scheduled the belly shots for Friday Feb 26 and we were on the phone the night before to confirm the time. We joked at how close we were getting to the due date and I would end up shooting the birth by the time I got there... Well, I got a phone call early morning to hear that Denora was in labour and we had to cancel the belly session. We booked our session 9 am and he was born a couple minutes before 9. I think we jinxed ourselves!
But here is baby Kayden, all ready for his close-up! And updated photos of Nola, or course!
Congratulations Denora and Bruno!
